DipCHyp, HPD, TCM Workplace Mediator, BA (Hons)
I am a fully-qualified talking therapist, mediator, cognitive hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner. I was trained at Regents College, London by the leader in this field, Trevor Silvester, with the Quest Institute.
As a qualified therapist, I can talk things through and help you choose your path, find solutions or make the changes you want in your life.
I am passionate about helping people reach their full potential and feel better. I would like to help you to find solutions to achieve your goals.
Talking and sharing your thoughts can make a world of difference.
It is easy to get 'stuck' in a problem state or locked into beliefs, habits and patterns of behaviour. Once we voice them, we may come to realise they are reducing the quality of our lives and yet somehow we may feel unable to change.
If something is holding you back, whether it’s a need to let go of something (such as a behaviour, feeling or belief), or if you are interested in developing your performance, business or life coaching, I would love to work with you.
I can help you to get out of your own way and overcome the blockers to your freedom, independence and success.
Many of us will experience low points, fear, and anxiety at some point in our lives.
Using various techniques, I can help you with motivation, perspective and self-belief.
I am a trained mediator and can help break down barriers, to create solutions and resolutions in situations of conflict.
Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness can linger after traumatic events. Talking therapy and hypnotherapy can help you to overcome these symptoms and support you through the process of grief and healing.
Like many people, I had reached a stage in my life where I had been through a wide range of experiences and events, which had given me a slightly warped perception of the world and myself. I was at the point of seeking help through my doctor, which I felt would inevitably lead to me receiving a prescription of some kind.
Deep down, I knew this would only serve to mask the issues and skirt around the real reasons that I was not at my best.
Instead of making an appointment with my doctor, I decided to visit a cognitive hypnotherapist. It was the best thing I ever did! I realised that I wanted to be a ‘glass half-full’ person, instead of the ‘half-empty’ version.
After only two sessions, cognitive hypnotherapy changed the way I approached, perceived and spoke about the world. It changed my world. I looked at things differently; I also felt more in control of my life and this caused the world to treat me differently. At that time, I could not explain how it happened but all I needed to know was that it worked and I was better for it.
I had a burning desire to study this and other forms of therapy, expand my knowledge and help others, knowing how deeply it had influenced and improved the quality of my life.
I have worked for most of my life in publishing and am familiar with the stresses and demands of working to constant deadlines. I am currently working with the emergency services but previously worked with a puzzle magazine company, compiling crosswords and other puzzles for external publications.
More recently I have become interested in the puzzles and conundrums that we make in our minds, sometimes needlessly, but also in the solutions that we all hold within ourselves.
In my spare time, I am a keen horse-rider. I regularly compete and I am no stranger to dealing with competition nerves and performance issues. As a keen amateur dressage rider, I am passionate about the pursuit of excellence and am constantly searching for new ways or techniques to achieve peak performance and the best version of myself - which I would like to share with you.
I am glad you’ve found me. I look forward to helping you.
